Helen Lallo, Coordinator -- Phone 273-0882 -- 518 Hartford Avenue -- Providence, RI 02903
Providence Community Action's Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) works with energy vendors and clients to help alleviate the high cost of home heating bills by providing heating grants, energy education, and case management services. More than 6,000 Providence households are helped annually through this essential program.
The LIHEAP program also assists with gas and electric shut-offs and no-heat emergencies. As of October 1, 2008, the program is open for shut-off emergencies only. Regular LIHEAP appointments will begin on November 1, 2008.
