Providence Community Action operates a Housing Development, providing 27 units of low income housing to city residents. This development, located in the Fox Point neighborhood of the city, offers one, two, and three bedroom apartments for Section-8 eligible households. The agency also owns an additional 11 units of low-income housing city wide, for a total of 38 units of housing.
Valerie V. Case Apartments -- Case Lane, Providence:
Funded by a HUD 811 award, with additional funding from the City of Providence, ten units of supportive housing for the elderly and/or handicapped have been completed in the Mount Pleasant neighborhood. The safe, affordable housing development for families with a disabled member consists of 1, 2, and 3 bedroom apartments, most of which are wheelchair accessible.
